Municipal Water/Wastewater Department
The Village of Tupper Lake Municipal Water/Wastewater Department is responsible for the maintenance of and operation of the public water distribution system and the sanitary sewer collection system that serves approximately 3,300 customers within the Town and Village of Tupper Lake.
The Department's eight employees operate and maintain a water treatment plant, two water tanks, eight sewer lift stations, and the wastewater treatment plant.
The Village is working to develop wells to replace Big Tupper Lake as the primary source for drinking water.
A tapping permit is required prior to adding or modifying a connection to the water or sanitary sewer system.
Water and sewer customers are billed monthly.
